Europa

España

Los trabajadores de Aena y Enaire, a través del sindicato CCOO llevarán a cabo una huelga en los aeropuertos españoles para los días 22, 23, 30 y 31 de diciembre, así como para el 6 y 8 de enero, bajo la amenaza de continuar con las protestas durante el primer trimestre de 2023 y en la próxima Semana Santa si no se atiende su reivindicación. Esta huelga afectará a todo el territorio en su conjunto. AENA gestiona un total de 48 aeropuertos en toda España.

Por otro lado se ha convocado una huelga de los pilotos de Air Nostrum para los días 22, 23, 26, 27, 29 y 30 de diciembre, y 2 y 3 de enero, con la celebración de paros de 24 horas de duración.

Huelga Vueling en España. Vueling ha cancelado todos los vuelos hasta el 1 de enero que considera que pueden verse afectados por la huelga convocada por el sindicato Stavla, mayoritario entre los tripulantes de cabina.
De esta forma, Vueling garantiza que, a un mes vista, todos los vuelos que están a la venta hasta el 1 de enero son los que están programados para ser operados.

El sindicato Stavla es el organizador de los paros, que empezaron el 1 de noviembre y tendrán lugar todos los viernes, domingos y lunes hasta el 31 de enero de 2023, así como los días 24 y 31 de diciembre y el 5 de enero.

Spain

Aena and Enaire workers, through the CCOO union, will go on strike at Spanish airports on 22, 23, 30 and 31 December, as well as on 6 and 8 January, threatening to continue their protests during the first quarter of 2023 and next Easter if their demands are not met. This strike will affect the whole territory. AENA manages a total of 48 airports throughout Spain.

On the other hand, a strike has been called by Air Nostrum pilots for 22, 23, 26, 27, 29 and 30 December, and 2 and 3 January, with 24-hour stoppages.

Vueling strike in Spain. The low-cost airline Vueling has cancelled all flights until 1 January that it considers could be affected by the strike called by the Stavla union, the majority of cabin crew members.
In this way, Vueling guarantees that, one month ahead, all flights currently on sale until 1 January are those scheduled to be operated.

The Stavla union is the organiser of the stoppages, which began on 1 November and will take place every Friday, Sunday and Monday until 31 January 2023, as well as on 24 and 31 December and 5 January.

Reino Unido

Durante las fiestas de Navidad y Año Nuevo puede haber huelgas en varios sectores del Reino Unido, como el transporte público, los hospitales y los servicios de ambulancias. UK

During the Christmas/New Year season, there may be strikes in a number of UK industries, including public transportation, hospitals, and ambulance services. The UK Border Force will likewise be on strike from December 23 to December 31. Affected airports include Birmingham, Cardiff, Gatwick, Heathrow, Glasgow, Manchester, and the port of New Haven. Keep up with local guidance and prepare for delays.

• On December 14, 16 and 17 there will be a nationwide strike across the UK rail network. Although the strike does not affect Eurostar staff, it will have an impact on timetables, as service hours have been reduced on UK rail lines, including the high-speed line they use. It will also impact Eurostar’s first departures on December 15.
  Security staff at Eurostar will strike on 16, 18, 22 and 23 December. Eurostar operates passenger rail services linking London to Paris and other European capitals.
• Workers on Abellio bus services in the capital are currently striking. Action had also been planned on Metroline services. Routes affected by the Abellio strike action are mostly in west and south London. They will be on the following dates:  Friday 16 December and Saturday 17 December Consider using alternative modes of transportation. Reconfirm bus schedules. Allow additional time to reach destinations if operating in the affected area.
• We have been notified of forthcoming 48 hour strikes which will affect the network nationally on the following dates: 14,16,17 and from 24 until 27 December 2022. This is likely to affect most train companies across Britain. The rail industry is working hard to minimise the effect that this will have on services but it is inevitable that services will be cancelled or severely disrupted. It is likely that there will be a very limited service on these days with no trains at all on some routes. Services may also start later on days following the end of the strike action.
• Baggage handlers have voted to strike from 16 December. The 72-hour strike action will affect flights operated by 10 major airlines from Heathrow Terminals 2, 3 and 4.

• El sindicato Sud-Rail ha presentado un preaviso de huelga nacional de los señalizadores ferroviarios desde el jueves 15 de diciembre (a partir de las 20.00 horas) hasta el lunes 19 de diciembre (hasta las 8.00 horas).
  Los viajeros pueden amppliar información específica sobre los horarios de los trenes, retrasos y cancelaciones en las 24 horas previas al inicio de la huelga. Si sus planes de viaje se ven afectados, recibirá una notificación de la SNCF.
• Los sindicatos amenazan con convocar huelgas en Air France del 22 de diciembre al 2 de enero, aunque se esperan más detalles en los próximos días.

Reconfirme la situación del transporte ferroviario en Francia durante la huelga. Considere la posibilidad de utilizar medios de transporte alternativos para los viajes urgentes. • The union Sud-Rail has filed a nationwide strike notice encouraging signal operators to walk out from Thursday December 15th (starting at 8pm) to Monday December 19th (ending at 8am)
  Travellers can expect specific information regarding trains’ timetables, delays and cancellations in the 24 hours prior to the start of the strike. If your travel plans are impacted, you will receive notification from SNCF.
• Unions are threatening strikes at Air France from December 22 to January 2, though further details are awaited.

Reconfirm the status of rail transport in France during the strike. Consider using alternative transport for time-sensitive travel. Allow extra time to reach destinations due to increased traffic congestion and demand for alternative transport.
