Las Fuerzas de Defensa Nacional sudafricanas han sido puestas en alerta ante la huelga del lunes (20 de marzo) en caso de que se produzcan disturbios. Según los informes, la EFF ha organizado marchas por todo el país. La Asociación Nacional del Taxi, la Asociación de Transporte de Mercancías por Carretera, Santaco y varias entidades gubernamentales han declarado que no se sumarán a la huelga.
El servicio de autobuses Golden Arrow de Ciudad del Cabo también funcionará con normalidad el lunes (20 de marzo), aunque no lo harán los autobuses Putco.

The Golden Arrow Bus Service in Cape Town will also operate normally on Monday (20 March), however Putco buses will not operate.
