Cuba Aviso de seguridad: posibles robos a extranjeros y obligación de llevar un seguro médico
El Ministerio de Asuntos Exteriores español, ha actualizado la información del país añadiendo que se recomienda especial precaución en lo relativo a posibles robos a turistas, la enfermedad del dengue y en la época de huracanes.
AUTORIZACIÓN DE ENTRADA EN CUBA (TARJETAS TURÍSTICAS Y VISADOS).
Para las visitas por turismo es preciso obtener una “tarjeta turística», que hace la función de visado, y que son facilitadas, previo pago, en todos los Consulados de Cuba en España y en todas las agencias de viaje que venden este destino.
En el caso de visitas por motivo de trabajo, negocios, intercambios científico-culturales, etc., debe solicitarse un visado específico en las Oficinas Consulares de Cuba en España.

Asimismo, pueden producirse robos en gasolineras, mayoritariamente en casos de vehículos alquilados con placa “T» (turística) y camino de los cayos (alrededores de Santa Clara).
Se desaconseja recoger autoestopistas (práctica localmente conocida como “dar botella»), especialmente fuera de las ciudades o cerca las playas.
DENGUE. Existe un importante repunte de infecciones por dengue y dengue hemorrágico en Cuba. Se trata de una enfermedad transmitida por la picadura de mosquito que provoca fiebre alta, vómitos y dolor muscular (además de sangrados en el caso del dengue hemorrágico).
Es obligatorio viajar con seguro de viaje de cobertura médica que cubra un posible contagio por Covid-19 y la repatriación del cadáver en caso de fallecimiento independientemente de la causa. Este seguro debe estar expedido por entidades aseguradoras reconocidas en Cuba. Lo mismo se aplica en el caso de los extranjeros con residencia temporal en Cuba.

Likewise, thefts may occur at gas stations, mainly in the case of rented vehicles with a «T» (tourist) number plate and on the way to the keys (around Santa Clara).

DENGUE. There is a significant upsurge of dengue and dengue haemorrhagic fever infections in Cuba. This is a mosquito-borne disease that causes high fever, vomiting and muscle pain (as well as bleeding in the case of dengue haemorrhagic fever).
It is compulsory to travel with travel insurance with medical coverage that covers a possible Covid-19 infection and the repatriation of the body in case of death, regardless of the cause. This insurance must be issued by insurance companies recognised in Cuba. The same applies in the case of foreigners with temporary residence in Cuba.
