From 11 May, the United States will remove Covid vaccination requirement for travellers.

Foreign travellers entering the United States from Thursday 11 May will no longer be required to present proof of Covid vaccination. This date also coincides with the end of the national health emergency that for more than three years has underpinned a series of extraordinary government measures.

The White House has justified the end of this requirement because COVID-19 deaths in the US have dropped by 95% since January 2021 and hospitalisations have fallen by 91%.

The requirement was previously removed for US citizens and permanent residents, and will be removed on the same day that the Covid-19 public health emergency ends.

Follow all official instructions and comply with local health and safety measures.
