El Ministerio de Asuntos Exteriores español, ha actualizado la información del país añadiendo que La amenaza terrorista contra intereses y ciudadanos extranjeros occidentales en Bangladesh por parte de grupos fundamentalistas islámicos sigue siendo elevada. Todos los ciudadanos, y aún más los viajeros extranjeros, deben reforzar sus medidas de seguridad, precaución y cautela, más aún en países como Bangladesh, que ya ha sufrido la violencia terrorista contra ciudadanos extranjeros, que por sus características físicas resultan bien visibles en vías y lugares públicos.
Se recuerda que, en estos momentos, ninguna región del mundo ni ningún país están a salvo de posibles actos terroristas. Por ende, SE RECOMIENDA EXTREMAR LA PRECAUCIÓN DURANTE EL VIAJE, EVITAR GRANDES AGLOMERACIONES Y ABSTENERSE DE VIAJAR FUERA DE LAS CIUDADES PRINCIPALES DEL PAÍS.
Las fronteras terrestres con India se encuentran abiertas, pero las de Myanmar permanecen cerradas desde el 13 de marzo de 2022.
Violencia política. En los últimos meses se han vivido episodios de violencia callejera, por lo que se recomienda evitar las manifestaciones o grandes aglomeraciones de personas.

Epidemia de Dengue en Bangladesh:
Se recomienda no bajar la guardia y extremar las medidas de protección y precaución para evitar el contagio de esta enfermedad, puesto que se ha experimentado un gran incremento en el número de casos recientemente. El riesgo de contraer enfermedades como el dengue o la chikungunya es siempre MUY elevado en Bangladesh.
