Israel. Actualización.
El Ministerio de Asuntos Exteriores Español ha incluido en su página web que se aconseja prestar especial atención a las recomendaciones de seguridad, así como evitar las zonas de alto riesgo. Es fundamental seguir las recomendaciones de viaje del Consulado General de España en Jerusalén, especialmente en lo que respecta a visitas turísticas a Jerusalén y poblaciones de Cisjordania, debido a los eventos que están teniendo lugar en la zona.
Las personas con identidad palestina y pasaporte español deben tener en cuenta la nueva regulación para viajes no turísticos a Cisjordania, vigente desde el 20 de octubre de 2022.
En cuanto a los barrios ultraortodoxos judíos, se aconseja extremar la precaución, tanto en Jerusalén como en otros lugares, siguiendo las recomendaciones de viaje del Consulado General de España en Jerusalén. En estos barrios, es recomendable evitar tomar fotografías, vestir de manera recatada (con hombros y piernas cubiertos) y no circular en vehículo motorizado durante el Sabbath (desde el atardecer del viernes hasta el atardecer del sábado).
Se deben evitar las siguientes zonas de alto riesgo:
1. Frontera de Israel con Gaza: Se desaconseja viajar a esta frontera, incluyendo los pasos fronterizos, las poblaciones cercanas y las carreteras que se acercan a esta zona. Además, se recomienda extremar la prudencia en un radio de 40 km alrededor de la franja de Gaza.
2. Frontera con Siria y Líbano: Esta zona puede ser escenario de incidentes bélicos, por lo que se aconseja no acercarse a las fronteras con Siria y Líbano, ni al límite norte de los Altos del Golán.
3. Frontera de Israel con Egipto: Se desaconseja transitar por las carreteras cercanas a esta frontera debido al peligro de ataques terroristas. Para desplazarse a la ciudad de Eilat se sugiere utilizar las carreteras 40 o 90 desde Beersheva o Jerusalén, evitando las carreteras 10 y 12, que discurren paralelas y cercanas a la frontera con Egipto (Sinaí) y que están cerradas por el ejército israelí en varios tramos. En los últimos años, se han producido ataques y atentados terroristas en esa zona provenientes del interior de la península del Sinaí (Egipto). También se desaconseja viajar desde Israel a Taba y al Monasterio de Santa Catalina (Egipto) por medios terrestres.
En el resto del país, incluyendo Tel Aviv, es importante mantener una actitud prudente y vigilante, especialmente en zonas concurridas. Se debe estar atento a la evolución de los acontecimientos tanto antes como durante el viaje.

The Spanish Ministry of Foreign Affairs has included on its website that it is advised to pay special attention to security recommendations, as well as to avoid high-risk areas. It is essential to follow the travel recommendations of the Spanish Consulate General in Jerusalem, especially regarding tourist visits to Jerusalem and West Bank towns, due to the events taking place in the area.
People with a Palestinian identity and a Spanish passport should take into account the new regulation for non-tourist travel to the West Bank, in force since 20 October 2022.
As for the ultra-Orthodox Jewish neighbourhoods, extreme caution is advised, both in Jerusalem and elsewhere, following the travel recommendations of the Spanish Consulate General in Jerusalem. In these neighbourhoods, it is advisable to avoid taking photographs, to dress modestly (with shoulders and legs covered) and not to use motor vehicles during the Sabbath (from sunset on Friday to sunset on Saturday).
The following high-risk areas should be avoided:
Israel’s border with Gaza: travel to this border, including border crossings, nearby towns and roads approaching this area, is discouraged. In addition, extreme caution is advised within a 40 km radius of the Gaza Strip.
2. Border with Syria and Lebanon: This area is a potential theatre of war and it is therefore advised to stay away from the borders with Syria and Lebanon, and the northern edge of the Golan Heights.
3. Israel’s border with Egypt: Travel on roads near this border is discouraged due to the danger of terrorist attacks. To travel to the city of Eilat it is suggested to use roads 40 or 90 from Beersheva or Jerusalem, avoiding roads 10 and 12, which run parallel and close to the border with Egypt (Sinai) and are closed by the Israeli army in several sections. In recent years, there have been attacks and terrorist attacks in this area from inside the Sinai Peninsula (Egypt). Travel from Israel to Taba and St Catherine’s Monastery (Egypt) by land is also discouraged.
In the rest of the country, including Tel Aviv, it is important to maintain a cautious and vigilant attitude, especially in crowded areas. Be aware of developments both before and during the trip.
