Servicios consulares locales, avisan que tras el golpe militar, se han producido repetidos atentados con bomba contra el transporte público y las paradas de autobús en Myanmar. En casos concretos, la seguridad del tráfico aéreo civil dentro de Myanmar puede verse comprometida por aviones obsoletos o en mal estado operados por aerolíneas locales .
Para algunos destinos nacionales, se requiere la aprobación previa de las autoridades locales. Durante el monzón, pueden producirse interrupciones en las conexiones de transporte en todo el país. En particular, las carreteras rurales en las montañas o cerca de los ríos, pero también las conexiones ferroviarias, pueden ser intransitables durante días.
El mal estado de las carreteras y el comportamiento impredecible de muchos usuarios crean un riesgo considerable de accidentes. Hay controles policiales, militares y de otras administraciones, por ejemplo, en las entradas y salidas de las ciudades y en las carreteras interurbanas.
Los hoteles y pensiones deben facilitar a la policía los datos del pasaporte de sus huéspedes. Por tanto, los viajeros están obligados a llevar siempre consigo su pasaporte. Los extranjeros no pueden alojarse en Myanmar fuera de los hoteles y pensiones oficiales. Las autoridades locales mantienen una lista de establecimientos de alojamiento autorizados. Los infractores se enfrentan a penas de cárcel de varios meses.
Tenga en cuenta que los controles de pasaportes también pueden aplicarse a los vuelos nacionales. Se aconseja a los viajeros que hagan una copia de su pasaporte y la conserven separada del original.

Local consular services warn that in the aftermath of the military coup, there have been repeated bombings of public transport and bus stops in Myanmar. In specific cases, the safety of civilian air traffic within Myanmar may be compromised by obsolete or dilapidated aircraft operated by local airlines.
For some domestic destinations, prior approval from local authorities is required. During the monsoon, there may be disruptions to transport links throughout the country. In particular, rural roads in the mountains or near rivers, but also railway connections, may be impassable for days.
The poor state of the roads and the unpredictable behaviour of many road users create a considerable risk of accidents. There are police, military and other government controls, for example, at the entrances and exits of cities and on inter-city roads.
Hotels and guesthouses must provide the police with the passport details of their guests. Travellers are therefore obliged to carry their passports at all times. Foreigners are not allowed to stay in Myanmar outside official hotels and guesthouses. Local authorities maintain a list of approved accommodation establishments. Violators face prison sentences of several months.
Please note that passport controls may also apply to domestic flights. Travellers are advised to make a copy of their passport and keep it separate from the original.
