El Ministerio de Asuntos Exteriores de España ha emitido un comunicado respecto al estado del sistema sanitario en Moldavia. Se ha observado un significativo deterioro en el sistema sanitario moldavo en los últimos años, atribuido principalmente a la falta de inversiones. Es imprescindible contar con un seguro médico que cubra todos los gastos médicos, incluyendo una eventual repatriación.
Cabe destacar que la tarjeta sanitaria europea no tiene validez en Moldavia. Además, la disponibilidad de medicamentos en el país es limitada. Se insta a las personas que requieran medicamentos prescritos a llevar consigo suficientes suministros para toda la duración de su estancia en la República de Moldavia, así como las prescripciones médicas correspondientes.
Para garantizar la salud, se recomienda consumir agua embotellada durante la visita en Moldavia.
