Ocho de cada diez distritos sajones se encuentran afectados por una huelga en las empresas regionales de autobuses que se extenderá hasta el domingo 21 a las 06:00 hora local. Esta situación ha provocado restricciones en el transporte local, afectando tanto a viajeros como a escolares.
La Asociación de Empresarios del Transporte Local (AVN) ha confirmado que la huelga impacta a las empresas de transporte local en los distritos de Vogtlandkreis, Zwickau, Erzgebirgskreis, Mittelsachsen, Meissen, Sächsische Schweiz-Osterzgebirge, Bautzen y Görlitz. Además, las empresas más pequeñas de transporte local en Chemnitz y Dresde también se encuentran paralizadas. Sin embargo, Leipzig y sus distritos vecinos no se ven afectados por la huelga en estos momentos.
Las ciudades más pobladas de Sajonia, Dresde (DRS), Leipzig (LEJ) y Chemnitz, cuentan con aeropuertos que podrían verse afectados por esta situación.
