España. País Vasco. Interrupción del servicio ferroviario afectando a los trenes de larga distancia.
Las obras de mejora en la infraestructura ferroviaria en el entorno de la estación de Atotxa, en Donostia-San Sebastián han obligado a la suspensión temporal del servicio ferroviario entre Hernani e Irún los días 15 y 16 de febrero. Esta interrupción afecta a los trenes de cercanías, media distancia y larga distancia, con repercusiones en la conectividad de la región.
Para minimizar el impacto en los viajeros, Renfe ha establecido un plan alternativo de transporte por carretera. En el caso de los servicios de larga distancia, se habilitarán 42 circulaciones de autobuses para garantizar la movilidad entre las estaciones afectadas.
Entre las principales modificaciones, el servicio Madrid–Irún incluirá un transbordo por carretera entre Tolosa e Irún, un trayecto de aproximadamente 45 kilómetros, durante los días 15 y 16 de febrero. Además, el último tren que saldrá de Madrid a Irún el 14 de febrero realizará el tramo Donostia-San Sebastián–Irún en autobús (unos 20 kms). Del mismo modo, el primer tren de Donostia-San Sebastián a Madrid del 17 de febrero efectuará el recorrido hasta Tolosa por carretera antes de continuar en tren (26 kms).
Por otra parte, la conexión ferroviaria entre Barcelona y Donostia-San Sebastián experimentará cambios similares. Durante los días 15 y 16 de febrero, los trenes cubrirán el trayecto Pamplona–Donostia-San Sebastián (80 kms) mediante autobuses. Además, el tren del 14 de febrero con origen en Barcelona y destino Donostia-San Sebastián también realizará este tramo por carretera, al igual que el servicio del 17 de febrero en sentido contrario.
Los aeropuertos internacionales más cercanos a las zonas afectadas son el Aeropuerto de San Sebastián (EAS), el Aeropuerto de Bilbao (BIO) y el Aeropuerto de Vitoria (VIT). La interrupción ferroviaria podría dificultar los desplazamientos hacia y desde estas terminales, especialmente para quienes dependan del tren para llegar a las estaciones con servicio de autobús hacia los aeropuertos.
Se recomienda a los viajeros con vuelos programados desde San Sebastián (EAS), Bilbao (BIO) o Vitoria (VIT) prever tiempos adicionales de traslado y considerar alternativas de transporte, como autobuses directos desde las estaciones de Donostia-San Sebastián o Pamplona. Asimismo, aquellos que viajen en tren de larga distancia desde Madrid (MAD) o Barcelona (BCN) deben revisar los cambios en sus itinerarios y planificar conexiones con suficiente margen de tiempo.

Improvement works on the railway infrastructure around Atotxa station in Donostia-San Sebastián have forced the temporary suspension of rail services between Hernani and Irún on 15 and 16 February. This disruption affects commuter, medium-distance and long-distance trains, with repercussions for connectivity in the region.
To minimise the impact on travellers, Renfe has established an alternative road transport plan. In the case of long-distance services, 42 bus services will be provided to guarantee mobility between the affected stations.

Likewise, those travelling by long-distance train from Madrid (MAD) or Barcelona (BCN) should review the changes to their itineraries and plan connections with sufficient time to spare.
