La Agencia Estatal de Meteorología (AEMET) ha emitido una alerta naranja en el archipiélago canario por precipitaciones intensas y vientos fuertes entre el 9 y el 10 de abril. El fenómeno afecta principalmente a las islas occidentales, aunque también se han registrado avisos en Gran Canaria, Lanzarote y Fuerteventura. Esta situación puede tener un impacto significativo en los desplazamientos aéreos, especialmente en los aeropuertos internacionales de las islas afectadas.
Se espera que entre el martes 9 de abril y el miércoles 10 de abril al mediodía se acumulen precipitaciones de carácter intenso. En La Palma (SPC), La Gomera (GMZ), El Hierro (VDE) y Tenerife (TFN/TFS), las lluvias podrían alcanzar los 30 mm en una hora. En el caso concreto de La Palma, la acumulación prevista en 12 horas podría ascender a 80 mm.
En Gran Canaria (LPA), Lanzarote (ACE) y Fuerteventura (FUE), se han pronosticado precipitaciones más moderadas, con una acumulación estimada de hasta 15 mm en una hora.
Se esperan rachas máximas de viento de hasta 70 km/h en Tenerife, La Gomera, El Hierro y La Palma, con dirección suroeste. Estas ráfagas podrían alcanzar intensidad muy fuerte de forma ocasional, lo que aumenta el riesgo de afectación en operaciones aeroportuarias, sobre todo en los despegues y aterrizajes.
Los aeropuertos internacionales que podrían verse afectados por esta situación son Tenerife Norte (TFN) y Tenerife Sur (TFS), La Palma (SPC), El Hierro (VDE), La Gomera (GMZ), Gran Canaria (LPA), Lanzarote (ACE) y Fuerteventura (FUE).
Debido a las condiciones meteorológicas adversas, se prevén posibles retrasos, desvíos y cancelaciones en los vuelos con origen o destino en las islas. Las conexiones entre islas también podrían verse afectadas, particularmente las rutas que unen Tenerife con La Palma, El Hierro y La Gomera.

The phenomenon mainly affects the western islands, although warnings have also been issued for Gran Canaria, Lanzarote and Fuerteventura. Intense rainfall is expected to accumulate between Tuesday 9th April and midday on Wednesday 10th April.
