Portugal. Huelga ferroviaria afectando conexiones con aeropuertos internacionales. 7 y 8 de mayo.
Los sindicatos del sector ferroviario han convocado una huelga en Portugal que afectará a la operadora pública CP –Comboios de Portugal- durante dos jornadas consecutivas, desde las 00:00 horas del 7 de mayo hasta las 24:00 horas del 8 de mayo. Esta movilización sindical podría ocasionar interrupciones significativas en los servicios ferroviarios de ámbito nacional, afectando tanto a rutas regionales como de larga distancia.
La huelga anunciada podría afectar directamente a las conexiones ferroviarias con varios aeropuertos internacionales del país. Las principales estaciones ferroviarias de Lisboa (LIS), Oporto (OPO) y Faro (FAO), que conectan con los respectivos aeropuertos mediante líneas urbanas y regionales, podrían sufrir cancelaciones o alteraciones horarias.
En Lisboa (LIS), la línea que conecta el centro de Lisboa con el aeropuerto Humberto Delgado (LIS) podría experimentar interrupciones, especialmente en los servicios de cercanías y regionales que enlazan con la estación de Oriente.
En Oporto (OPO), las rutas que permiten el acceso al aeropuerto Sá Carneiro (OPO), a través de la estación de Campanhã, podrían verse afectadas, reduciendo la frecuencia o disponibilidad de conexiones.
En Faro (FAO), en el Algarve, los servicios ferroviarios que facilitan el acceso al aeropuerto de Faro (FAO) desde otras ciudades del sur del país también podrían verse interrumpidos.
Otros aeropuertos internacionales en ciudades como Ponta Delgada (PDL), Funchal (FNC) y Horta (HOR), aunque no conectados directamente por tren, podrían sufrir impactos indirectos si los desplazamientos internos hacia los aeropuertos se ven dificultados por la paralización del servicio ferroviario.
La operadora CP ha informado que en los próximos días se anunciará el plan de servicios mínimos que se garantizarán durante la huelga. Mientras tanto, las negociaciones entre las partes continúan abiertas, por lo que no se descarta la posibilidad de que se alcance un acuerdo que evite la paralización.
– Se aconseja a los viajeros consultar con antelación los horarios actualizados de CP y verificar si su trayecto estará operativo.
– Se recomienda prever medios de transporte alternativos como autobuses o servicios privados de transporte terrestre, especialmente en desplazamientos hacia o desde los aeropuertos de Lisboa (LIS), Oporto (OPO) y Faro (FAO).
– En caso de vuelos internacionales con salida o llegada durante los días del paro, se sugiere llegar con mayor antelación a los aeropuertos ante posibles retrasos en el acceso terrestre.
– Para viajeros con conexiones en regiones como Azores y Madeira, se recomienda comprobar el estado de los enlaces internos para no comprometer los vuelos en aeropuertos como Ponta Delgada (PDL), Funchal (FNC) o Horta (HOR).

Railway unions have called a strike in Portugal that will affect the public operator CP – Comboios de Portugal – for two consecutive days, from midnight on 7 May until midnight on 8 May. This union mobilisation could cause significant disruptions to national rail services, affecting both regional and long-distance routes.
The announced strike could directly affect rail connections to several international airports in the country. The main railway stations in Lisbon (LIS), Porto (OPO) and Faro (FAO), which connect to the respective airports by urban and regional lines, could suffer cancellations or timetable alterations.
In Lisbon (LIS), the line connecting the centre of Lisbon with Humberto Delgado Airport (LIS) could experience disruptions, especially in the commuter and regional services that link with Oriente station.
In Porto (OPO), the routes that provide access to Sá Carneiro Airport (OPO), via Campanhã station, could be affected, reducing the frequency or availability of connections.
In Faro (FAO), in the Algarve, rail services providing access to Faro Airport (FAO) from other cities in the south of the country could also be disrupted.
Other international airports in cities such as Ponta Delgada (PDL), Funchal (FNC) and Horta (HOR), although not directly connected by train, could suffer indirect impacts if internal travel to the airports is hampered by the paralysis of the rail service.
The operator CP has announced that a plan for minimum services to be guaranteed during the strike will be announced in the coming days. Meanwhile, negotiations between the parties are still ongoing, so the possibility of an agreement being reached to avoid the strike is not ruled out.
– Travellers are advised to check CP’s updated timetables in advance and verify whether their route will be operational.
– It is recommended that alternative means of transport such as buses or private land transport services be arranged, especially for journeys to or from the airports of Lisbon (LIS), Porto (OPO) and Faro (FAO).
– In the case of international flights departing or arriving during the days of the strike, it is suggested that passengers arrive at the airports earlier in case of possible delays in land access.
– For travellers with connections in regions such as the Azores and Madeira, it is recommended to check the status of internal connections so as not to compromise flights at airports such as Ponta Delgada (PDL), Funchal (FNC) or Horta (HOR).
