El sector aéreo en Italia se verá afectado por un paro laboral de 4 horas, programado entre las 13:00 y las 17:00 horas del 9 de mayo. Esta movilización incluye a todos los trabajadores de las líneas aéreas, los aeropuertos y las industrias relacionadas, abarcando también al personal de ENAC, la Autoridad Nacional de Aviación Civil.
La huelga afecta de manera significativa a las operaciones en los principales aeropuertos italianos. Asimismo, el personal de Swissport Italia en el aeropuerto de Milán Linate (LIN) también estarán en huelga, lo que podría provocar mayores dificultades en las operaciones de tierra en este aeropuerto.
Los aeropuertos afectados, especialmente los de Roma Fiumicino (FCO) y Milán Malpensa (MXP), principales hubs internacionales del país, podrían sufrir retrasos y cancelaciones tanto en vuelos nacionales como internacionales. Las conexiones intermodales como el Leonardo Express (Roma) y el Malpensa Express (Milán) podrían experimentar mayores tiempos de espera debido a la congestión prevista en las terminales aéreas.
