El viernes 11 de abril está prevista una huelga general de transporte en Milán que afectará a toda la red gestionada por la empresa ATM. La jornada de protesta tendrá una duración de 24 horas, con consecuencias directas para el metro, los autobuses y los tranvías que operan en la ciudad y su área metropolitana.
La huelga, convocada por el personal de ATM, incluyendo contratistas y servicios auxiliares, así como los trabajadores de mantenimiento, limpieza, seguridad y soporte técnico, se desarrollará desde las 00:01 hasta las 23:59 del mismo día. También están implicados los servicios de AMSA responsables de la recogida de residuos, el barrido de calles y el reciclaje.
Durante la jornada de huelga, se garantizan franjas de servicio desde el inicio hasta las 08:45 y desde las 15:00 hasta las 18:00 horas. Fuera de estos tramos, se prevén interrupciones totales o parciales del servicio de metro, autobús y tranvía.
El paro coincide con la celebración del evento Fuorisalone, parte de la Semana del Diseño de Milán, un periodo que genera un notable aumento de viajeros a la ciudad. Este factor incrementa la presión sobre el sistema de movilidad, con previsibles afectaciones en el tráfico urbano, la logística y los desplazamientos dentro del área metropolitana.
Aunque la huelga no afecta directamente al funcionamiento del Aeropuerto de Milán-Malpensa (MXP), Milán-Linate (LIN) ni Bérgamo-Orio al Serio (BGY), sí se prevén complicaciones en el acceso terrestre a estos aeródromos desde la ciudad. Las conexiones habituales por transporte público, como las líneas de autobús o metro hacia Linate (LIN) o los servicios de lanzadera hacia Malpensa (MXP) y Orio al Serio (BGY), podrían verse reducidas o canceladas.
Esto puede afectar también a los viajeros en tránsito hacia otros destinos internacionales desde estos aeropuertos, especialmente en un contexto de alta demanda vinculado a los eventos de diseño en la ciudad.
