Los aeropuertos de Tenerife (TFS y TFN) y Gran Canaria (LPA) siguen afectados por la huelga de controladores aéreos, cuyas torres son gestionadas por la empresa ENAIRE.
Este paro ha sido suspendida en el resto de los aeródromos del archipiélago canario, tales como Lanzarote (ACE), Fuerteventura (FUE), La Palma (SPC), El Hierro (VDE) y La Gomera (GMZ) de cuya gestión se encarga SAERCO y Skyway.
Los controladores aéreos, cuya labor es esencial para la gestión del tráfico aéreo, juegan un papel fundamental en la coordinación de las operaciones aéreas y en la seguridad del espacio aéreo, siguiendo procedimientos y regulaciones de aviación estrictamente establecidos.
