Security staff in France to strike at multiple airports Nov. 16-18

Security staff in France plan to strike at multiple airports Nov. 16-18.
Staff at Paris Charles de Gaulle Airport also known as Roissy Airport, Paris Orly Airport, Toulouse-Blagnac Airport, Marseille Provence Airport, Clermont-Ferrand Auvergne Airport, Lyon–Saint Exupery Airport, Nice Cote d’Azur Airport, and EuroAirport Basel Mulhouse Freiburg reportedly plan to take part in the action.

The strike is excepted to impact departing flights, most directly affecting check-in, outbound (departures) immigration, security screening, and departure gates.

Actions to Take:

  • Check with your airline for possible effects on your flight.
  • For departing flights, arrive at the airport at least three hours before your flight.
  • Exercise caution if in the vicinity of large gatherings or protests

The strike could disrupt flights and result in delays or cancellations. Passengers will likely experience longer waits for clearing security. Confirm flight status at affected airports before setting out for the airport Nov. 16-18. Allow additional time to check baggage and clear security.
