Lufthansa permitirá a los pasajeros utilizar nuevos certificados digitales de vacunación COVID-19 en el check-in de sus vuelos.
Los pasajeros podrán mostrar la prueba digital de vacunación en sus teléfonos o en una copia impresa al registrarse en el aeropuerto.
Una vez que la aplicación reconoce el código, se emite la tarjeta de embarque.
Alemania comenzó la semana pasa a emitir códigos QR para quienes están completamente vacunados. Además la compañía aérea ha confirmado que en determinadas rutas  también será posible usar el certificado de vacunación digital para registrarse a través de un teléfono utilizando la aplicación de la aerolínea.
Los pasajeros que quieran comprobar que tienen la documentación adecuada también pueden ponerse en contacto con el centro de servicio de Lufthansa hasta 72 horas antes del vuelo. Lufthansa recomienda que los pasajeros lleven consigo sus certificados de vacunación impresos originales en su viaje hasta nuevo aviso.

Según los últimos datos, actualmente en Alemania hay 35.988 casos activos de COVID-19 tras confirmarse 429 nuevos positivos y 100 altas médicas este lunes. Desde el comienzo de la pandemia, la cifra total de contagiados asciende a 3.730.555, con 3.604.150 recuperados y 90.417 fallecidos.

Lugares más afectados del país

Las regiones de Alemania que están viéndose más afectadas por la expansión del coronavirus son:

  • North Rhine-Westphalia, con 814.893 contagios y 17.048 personas fallecidas, la región con las cifras más elevadas en este momento.
  • Bavaria, con 646.508 contagios (+9 nuevos positivos) y 15.188 fallecimientos.
  • Baden-Wuerttemberg, con 499.758 contagios (+55 casos nuevos) y 10.171 fallecidos.

Advice

Lufthansa will allow passengers to use new digital COVID-19 vaccination certificates at check-in for their flights.
Lufthansa said passengers would be able to show the digital proof of vaccination either on their phones or on a printout when checking in at the airport, and the boarding pass would then be issued.
Germany started issuing QR codes for those who are fully vaccinated last week. Lufthansa said on selected routes it would also soon be possible to use the digital vaccination certificate to check in via smartphone using the airline’s app.
Passengers who want to check they have the right paperwork can also contact the Lufthansa service centre up to 72 hours before they fly. Lufthansa still recommends that passengers carry their original printed vaccination certificates with them on their journey until further notice.
