Se espera que las fuertes tormentas eléctricas traigan lluvias, vientos fuertes y posibles inundaciones a partes del noreste de China al menos hasta el 12 de julio. La Administración Meteorológica de China ha emitido una alerta naranja (el segundo nivel más alto en un cuatro- escala de niveles) como advertencia de tormenta para Beijing, Tianjin, Hebei, el noreste de Shanxi y partes de Shandong.

Cientos de vuelos han sido cancelados en Beijing y las escuelas y lugares turísticos han cerrado debido a las lluvias torrenciales y vientos huracanados. Una parte de la Gran Muralla, también se ha cerrado.

Las autoridades de la ciudad han avisado a los residentes para que se queden en sus domicilios. Confirme todas las reservas de transporte antes de viajar.

Severe thunderstorms are forecast to bring heavy rainfall, strong winds, and potential flooding to parts of northeastern China through at least July 12. As of early July 12, the China Meteorological Administration has issued an orange (the second-highest level on a four-tier scale) rainstorm warning for Beijing, Tianjin, Hebei, northeastern Shanxi, and parts of Shandong.

Hundreds of flights were cancelled in Beijing as schools and tourist sites were shut due to torrential downpours and gale-force winds on Monday. Popular attractions including a part of the Great Wall were also shut.

City authorities issued warnings to residents to stay home. Confirm all transport reservations before travel.
