El aeropuerto de Asturias realizará los próximos días un proceso de levantamiento por completo de su pista para instalar una nueva. La complejidad del proceso obligará al cierre total de la instalación. Durante ocho días de este mes, el aeropuerto no permitirá el tráfico de pasajeros ni aeronaves. Lo hará en jornadas consecutivas de 48 horas, siempre martes y miércoles (los días de menor operatividad). Las primeras 48 horas sin actividad aérea serán las de los días 6 y 7 de abril. Le seguirán los cierres previstos para los días 13 y 14; 20 y 21, y 27 y 28. En mayo volverá a repetirse el proceso, en este caso, durante las 48 horas de los días 4 y 5 de mayo.

On Tuesday, April 6 the Asturias airport will close its doors as that same runway is in need of some serious repairs.
The complexity of the operation necessitates the total closure of the airport for eight days in April. It will be done on consecutive Tuesdays and Wednesdays, as these are the quietest days at the Santiago del Monte. Thus, the first 48 hour closure will occur on April 6 and 7, followed by the 13 and 14, 20 and 21, and 27 and 27. The process will also continue into the beginning of May with a two-day closure scheduled for May 4 and 5.
