Se espera que la tormenta invernal Olive atraviese el norte de Estados Unidos esta semana, esparciendo nieve y hielo e impidiendo los desplazamientos desde las Rocosas y las Llanuras del Norte hasta los Grandes Lagos y partes del Noreste. El Salvador ha tenido hasta hace poco una de las tasas de criminalidad más altas de América Latina, con la violencia de las bandas como un problema particular. Aunque en la mayoría de los casos se ha producido lejos de turistas y visitantes, sigue existiendo el riesgo de convertirse en objetivo o verse envuelto en un incidente. La mayoría de las visitas a El Salvador transcurren sin problemas, pero se han producido ataques aislados a turistas, como atracos, robos de coches y asaltos violentos.

Winter Storm Olive is expected to track across the country this week, spreading snow and ice and impeding travel from the Rockies and Northern Plains into the Great Lakes and parts of the Northeast. Extremely hazardous driving conditions, flight and cancellation delays.

El Salvador (América) The government has prolonged the State of Emergency it declared on March 27, 2022, until March 17, 2023.
Despite security improvements, there is still a chance of violent crime. Up until recently, El Salvador had one of the worst rates of crime in Latin America, with gang violence being a particular issue. The possibility of being targeted or participating in an incident persists, even if the majority of incidents have happened away from tourists and other visitors. The majority of traveler trips to El Salvador are uneventful, however there have been a few exceptional incidents of violent assaults, carjackings, and muggings of tourists.
