At the Berlin-Brandenburg airport in Schönefeld, the strike of security staff, called by the Verdi union, has begun. On Monday morning at 3:30 a.m., numerous employees in the aviation security, passenger control and personnel control sectors have stopped working. 220 scheduled departures were cancelled. According to the airport’s website [ber.berlin-airport], 72 of the 240 arrivals have also been cancelled.
Arriving flights may also be affected by cancellations and changes to the flight schedule due to the warning strike.
