Germany (Europe) Today (24 April) no take-offs of passenger flights from Berlin Brandenburg due to the warning strike.

At the Berlin-Brandenburg airport in Schönefeld, the strike of security staff, called by the Verdi union, has begun. On Monday morning at 3:30 a.m., numerous employees in the aviation security, passenger control and personnel control sectors have stopped working. 220 scheduled departures were cancelled. According to the airport’s website [], 72 of the 240 arrivals have also been cancelled.

Arriving flights may also be affected by cancellations and changes to the flight schedule due to the warning strike.

Passengers affected by the strike are asked to contact their airline or travel agent for information on rebooking and alternative travel options.
