La seguridad en Guatemala es preocupante debido a la alta incidencia de delitos violentos como robos a mano armada, asesinatos y robos en viviendas. Se recomienda viajar con precaución y tomar medidas básicas de autoprotección. También se aconseja evitar viajar a ciertas zonas del país como el sur de la ciudad de Belice, la zona de adyacencia Belice-Guatemala y la frontera con México. En cuanto al Covid-19, las autoridades beliceñas han levantado las restricciones de ingreso para turistas, por lo que no es necesario presentar certificado de vacunación o prueba negativa para entrar al país. Sin embargo, se debe hospedar en un hotel certificado como «Gold standard-approved» por la autoridad turística beliceña.
