La Polinesia Francesa está enfrentando una huelga de controladores aéreos que se prolongará hasta el 19 de mayo, según ha informado la Alta Comisión. El paro podría provocar significativos retrasos o incluso la cancelación de vuelos en el Aeropuerto Internacional de Tahití-Faa’a (PPT), ubicado en la isla de Tahití, a tan solo 5 km al suroeste de Papeete.
El sindicato representante de los trabajadores, ha emitido un preaviso de huelga de cuatro días en respuesta a desacuerdos sobre la organización laboral en el centro de control de tráfico aéreo. El Servicio Estatal de Aviación Civil de la Polinesia Francesa (SEAC-PF) ha respondido que intentará tomar las acciones necesarias para tener el menor impacto posible. Las fechas del paro coinciden con un periodo de alta demanda de viajes debido a fines de semana largos y vacaciones escolares.

French Polynesia is facing an air traffic controllers’ strike that will last until 19 May, the High Commission has said.
