Update 26 May 2021. Europe. Albania. A nationwide curfew is in place between 10pm and 6am. During curfew, you can only leave home for essential work and emergency purposes. If you need to leave home during curfew you’ll need to seek permission from the police. Face coverings must be worn at all times in indoor and outdoor public places.
France. COVID-19-related restrictions are in force across France. The French Government has announced a plan to progressively ease restrictions from 3 May to 30 June. A nationwide curfew (9pm – 6am) remains in place. Entry and departure from France remains restricted depending on the country you’re coming from or going to. You’ll need a COVID-19 (PCR) test to enter France.

Asia

Malaysia. Full Movement Control Order restrictions apply in all of Malaysia, except for Sabah and Sarawak, until 7 June 2021. Inter-district and interstate travel are not permitted. You’ll need police permission to travel to Kuala Lumpur International Airport due to COVID-19 restrictions. Foreigners, including visitors and long term foreign residents, have been arrested and charged for breaching COVID-19 restrictions, including failure to socially distance in public places or being present in a venue that is suspected of breaching current rules. A temporary ban on flights to and from India is in place. All passengers travelling from India, Bangladesh, Nepal, Pakistan and Sri Lanka, except for Malaysian citizens, are not permitted to enter or transit Malaysia. The exemption for holders of expired Social Visit Passes ceased on 21 April 2021. If you’re in Malaysia on a social visit pass that expired after 1 January 2020, you should make arrangements to leave Malaysia. You may be subject to penalties or enforcement action if you stay with an expired social visit pass
Japan. Japan has expanded its current state of emergency to include Hokkaido, Okayama and Hiroshima. The state of emergency remains in place for Tokyo, Osaka, Hyogo, Kyoto, Aichi and Fukuoka until at least 31 May. Bars and restaurants that serve alcohol are asked to close. Dining establishments that do not serve alcohol are asked to close by 8pm. Supermarkets and other essential stores will remain open. Residents are asked to refrain from cross-prefectural travel and non-essential outings after 8pm. Strict non-emergency measures are already in place in a number of other prefectures. Exact measures may vary between regions.

Middle East

Lebanon. Protests are taking place in Beirut, some of which have turned violent. Avoid protests and Beirut’s port area. Local authorities have announced restrictions including a nightly curfew and closure of some areas and services. You’ll be required to undergo a COVID-19 (PCR) test upon arrival to Lebanon and observe a period of self isolation. Masks are mandatory in public; you’ll be fined if you don’t wear one.

Africa

Mali. There’s currently a heightened political situation in Mali including the capital Bamako. You’re encouraged to stay indoors, avoid unnecessary travel and monitor local media.

Follow the advice of local authorities. COVID-19 restrictions can change quickly and adhere to social distancing protocols.
