Spain. Taxi drivers plan to march in Seville, Sept. 28,

Taxi drivers will meet at the Olympic Stadium at 17:00 and march in the direction of the Andalusian Parliament. Taxi service disruptions and increased demand for alternative transport are likely in Seville and across Andalusia.
This new act comes after a strike that has paralyzed the sector completely during the last weekend, from seven o’clock in the evening on Friday until seven o’clock this Monday morning. The strike has been total (as usual in this sector, where the conveners exert strong pressure) and only minimum services have worked for very specific cases, such as the transfer of the sick, which have been done free of charge.

There were notable incidents at Sevilla airport on Friday night.

Heightened security and localized transport disruptions along the protest march route. Avoid the protest as a routine security precaution. Double check any taxi reservations. Allow additional traveling time and plan for increased demand for alternative public transport across the region Sept. 28.
