El Certificado COVID digital de la UE es una prueba digital de que una persona ha sido vacunada contra el COVID-19, recibió un resultado negativo en la prueba o se recuperó del COVID-19.
A partir del 1 de julio estará disponible para todos los Estados miembros de la UE . Este Certificado facilitará la libre circulación segura de ciudadanos en la Unión Europea durante la pandemia COVID-19. Si no tienes un Certificado COVID Digital puedes viajar de todas formas, aunque el proceso de entrada será más lento y posiblemente estarás sujeto a nuevas medidas (prueba, cuarentena, etc.).
El Certificado COVID Digital de la UE es gratuito, se emite en formato digital o en papel, en la lengua nacional y en inglés, tiene validez en toda la UE, e incluye un código QR que agiliza la verificación de la información en destino y garantiza su autenticidad. Contiene la información mínima esencial como: nombre, fecha de nacimiento, fecha de expedición, un identificador único y la información pertinente respecto a la vacunación, la prueba diagnóstica o la recuperación de la enfermedad. Estos datos permanecen en el certificado y no se almacenan en ningún sitio cuando se realiza la verificación en otro estado miembro de la UE. Durante el proceso de verificación se comprueba su validez y autenticidad verificando quien lo ha expedido y firmado.
Los pasajeros que dispongan del Certificado COVID Digital de la UE y lo incorporen al formulario SpTH durante el proceso de obtención del QR obtendrán un código QR FAST CONTROL que agilizará todo el proceso a la llegada al país. Para más información, puedes consultar la página web de la UE.
En España se puede solicitar a través de la sede electrónica del Ministerio de Sanidad. También lo emiten las comunidades autónomas, normalmente de manera telemática, mediante las apps para móviles o portales web de Sanidad específicos de cada región. Actualmente se ha duplicado el tiempo necesario para realizar las gestiones aeroportuarias. Desde hora y media antes de la pandemia, ahora se necesitan tres horas de paso por el aeropuerto. Se esperan grandes colas y retrasos durante la temporada alta de verano.

The EU Digital COVID Certificate is digital proof that a person has either been vaccinated against COVID-19, received a negative test result, or recovered from COVID-19.
From 1 July it will be available to all EU Member States. This Certificate will facilitate the safe free movement of citizens in the European Union during the COVID-19 pandemic. If you don’t have a Digital COVID Certificate you can still travel, although the entry process will be slower and you will possibly be subject to further measures (test, quarantine, etc.).
The EU digital COVID Certificate is free of charge, and it is issued in digital or paper format in the country’s national language and English. It is valid throughout the EU and includes a QR code for verifying the information at the destination and guaranteeing its authenticity. The certificate contains the essential minimum data, such as name, date of birth, a unique identifier as well as information on the vaccine, diagnostic tests or recovery from the disease. This information remains on the certificate and is not stored or retained when a certificate is verified in another EU Member State. During the verification process, the validity and authenticity of the certificate are checked by verifying who issued and signed it.
Passengers in possession of the EU digital COVID certificate and who incorporate it into the SpTH form while obtaining the QR code will receive aQR FAST CONTROL code to speed up the procedure upon arrival at their destinations. For more information, check the EU website.
In Spain the certificate can be applied for through the Ministry of Health website. They are also issued by the autonomous regions, normally in digital format, via mobile apps or specific healthcare web portals for each region. The amount of time navigating airports during a journey has doubled to 3 hours from 1-1/2 hours before the pandemic. Huge queues and delays during the peak summer season are expected.
