Thousands of workers at London’s Heathrow Airport to strike starting 2 April

High risk. Thousands of workers at Heathrow Airport, including security staff and firefighters, are to stage a series of fresh strikes. Passport workers at London’s Heathrow airport launched a month-long industrial action including a week-long strike on Wednesday, which is likely to affect travelers arriving at the international hub until April 21. Union Unite said 41 strikes will be held over a period from April 2 to 23, involving different groups of workers. During the industrial action, travelers can still land at the airport but immigration controls will take significantly longer.
