All flights to Israel’s Tel Aviv airport diverted amid increased firing of rockets

High risk. Israeli airport authorities have diverted all flights bound for Tel Aviv’s Ben Gurion International Airport and are redirecting them to Ramon International Airport 300 km away, it is not known how long this measure will last. The development comes after an increase in tension in the area as rocket fire from the Gaza Strip continued overnight Wednesday and early Thursday.
United Airlines, Delta Airlines and American Airlines have canceled flights between the United States and Tel Aviv. British Airways, Luftansa, Iberia and Virgin Atlantic have also canceled flights to Tel Aviv.
