A partir del día 7 de junio del 2021, todos aquellos pasajeros que procedan de un país/zona de riesgo en relación con coronavirus SARS-CoV-2, tienen que presentar obligatoriamente, para poder entrar en España, un certificado o documento acreditativo de vacunación frente a COVID-19 o un certificado negativo de una Prueba Diagnóstica de Infección Activa o un certificado de Recuperación tras haber pasado esta enfermedad. Puede tratarse de un Certificado Digital COVID de la UE, o de un documento acreditativo de los indicados anteriormente, tanto si procede de un estado miembro de la UE, como si procede de un tercer país.
No tienen la obligación de presentar estos certificados o documentos acreditativos los niños menores de 12 años.

En el caso de certificados o documento acreditativos (vacunación, test diagnóstico, recuperación), que no sean Certificado COVID Digital de la UE, deberán ser el original, estará redactado en español, inglés, francés o alemán y podrá ser presentado en formato papel o electrónico. Cualquiera de estos documentos contendrá, al menos, los siguientes datos: nombre y apellidos del viajero y:
-En el caso de las pruebas documentales de vacunación: fecha de vacunación completa, vacuna administrada y país dónde se ha vacunado.
-Si el documento acredita una prueba diagnóstica: fecha de toma de muestra, identificación y datos de contacto del centro que realiza el análisis, técnica empleada y resultado negativo.
-El certificado acreditativo de recuperación debe recoger la fecha de la primera prueba positiva, e indicar que el pasajero ha pasado la enfermedad y no es infecto-contagioso en el momento actual, y el país de realización del certificado.
En el caso de no ser posible obtenerlo en estos idiomas deberá ir acompañado de una traducción al español realizada por un organismo oficial.
Las compañías aéreas o marítimas comprobarán la obtención del código QR, y, si fuera necesario, los documentos acreditativos (vacunación/prueba diagnóstica/recuperación) para la obtención del mismo en el embarque, sin acceder, en ningún caso, a la información incluida en los mismos.
A su llegada a España puede ser sometido a control sanitario en el aeropuerto y tras la evaluación llevada a cabo por la autoridad sanitaria (incluyendo el control documental) puede ser sometido a un test diagnóstico para COVID-19.
Todos los viajeros procedentes del Reino Unido con destino España deben obligatoriamente rellenar el formulario online de la aplicación SP-TH (Spain Travel Health), que emitirá un código QR en función de si el pasajero está o no sometido a control documental. Los menores de 6 años están exentos de la presentación de certificaciones, pero deben cumplimentar el formulario SpTH y presentar el código QR.
Si reside habitualmente en el Reino Unido y NO ha viajado en los 14 días anteriores a su viaje a España, tiene autorizada la entrada sin restricciones sanitarias.
Si en los 14 días previos a su viaje a España ha estado en otro país, deberá acreditar que cumple con los requisitos sanitarios exigidos por las autoridades españolas. Los viajeros podrán optar por cualquiera de estas tres posibilidades:
- Un certificado de vacunación con la pauta completa de una vacuna autorizada por la Agencia Europea del Medicamento (EMA) o la Organización Mundial de la Salud (OMS).
- Un test de diagnóstico negativo en las 48 horas anteriores al viaje (PCR o antígenos).
- Un certificado de superación de la enfermedad.

From 7 June 2021, all those passengers from a country/area that has a SARS-CoV-2 coronavirus risk, must present, a certificate or document certifying vaccination against COVID-19 or a negative certificate of a Diagnostic Test of Active Infection or a certificate of Recovery after having passed this disease in order to enter Spain. This can be a EU Digital COVID Certificate, or a supporting document of those indicated above, whether the traveller arrives from an EU member state or from a third country.
Children under 12 years of age are not required to present these certificates or supporting documents.

In the case of certificates or supporting documents (vaccination, diagnostic test, recovery), which are not EU Digital COVID Certificates, they must be the original, in Spanish, English, French or German and may be submitted in paper or electronic format. Any of these documents shall contain, at least, the following data: name and surname of the traveller and:
-In the case of documentary evidence of vaccination: date of complete vaccination, vaccine administered and country of vaccination. of vaccination completed, vaccine administered and country of vaccination.
-If the document proves a diagnostic test: date of sampling, identification and contact details of the centre performing the analysis, technique used and negative result.
-The certificate of recovery must state the date of the first positive test, and indicate that the passenger has passed the disease and is not infectious-contagious at the present time, and the country where the certificate was issued.
If it is not possible to obtain it in these languages, it must be accompanied by a translation into Spanish by an official body.
The airline or shipping company shall check the QR code and, if necessary, the supporting documents (vaccination/diagnostic test/recovery) to obtain the QR code at boarding, without, in any case, accessing the information contained therein.
Upon your arrival in Spain you may be subject to health control at the airport and after the assessment carried out by the health authority (including documentary control) you may be subjected to a diagnostic test for COVID-19. All travelers from United Kingdom to Spain must fill in a Health Control Form (FCS). Children under 6 years of age are exempt from submitting certifications, but must complete the SpTH form and present the QR code. You can download the form in the following link: https://www.spth.gob.es/
If you permanently reside in the United Kingdom and you haven’t been in another country in the last 14 days you can now travel to Spain without any sanitary restrictions.
Should you have visited other countries in the 14 days prior to your trip to Spain, you must be in possession of one of the following documents:
- A certificate of a full vaccination against COVID-19 by any vaccine approved by either the European Medicines Agency (EMA) or the World Health Organization (WHO)
- A negative certificate of a Diagnostic Test of Active Infection done 48 hours prior to your travel
- A certificate of Recovery from COVID-19 issued by the relevant authority.
