El sindicato Unite ha confirmado que realizará además 41 huelgas durante un período del 2 al 23 de abril, involucrando a diferentes grupos de trabajadores. Se espera que los viajeros que aterricen en Heathrow durante este período, puedan encontrarse con retrasos en los controles de inmigración.

Thousands of workers at Heathrow Airport, including security staff and firefighters, are to stage a series of fresh strikes. Passport workers at London’s Heathrow airport launched a month-long industrial action including a week-long strike on Wednesday, which is likely to affect travelers arriving at the international hub until April 21. Union Unite said 41 strikes will be held over a period from April 2 to 23, involving different groups of workers. During the industrial action, travelers can still land at the airport but immigration controls will take significantly longer.
