En la noche del 14 de abril, Israel fue objeto de un ataque aéreo por parte de Irán – la mayoría de los proyectiles fueron interceptados-. Esta acción ha provocado disturbios en Cisjordania, con importantes consecuencias.
Ante esta escalada bélica Israel, Irán, Irak, Jordania y Líbano, entre otros, decidieron cerrar temporalmente sus espacios aéreos. Aunque los aeropuertos han retomado sus operaciones, la incertidumbre persiste en el tráfico aéreo. Por ello, se aconseja a los viajeros con vuelos programados hacia o desde estas zonas que consulten sus itinerarios con las aerolíneas, debido a posibles cambios o cancelaciones.
En el caso del Aeropuerto Internacional Ben Gurión de Tel Aviv (TLV), aerolíneas como KLM, Air Canada, United Airlines, Air India e Iberia han suspendido temporalmente sus operaciones, y es posible que se produzcan más cancelaciones si la situación empeora. Mientras tanto, el Aeropuerto Internacional Imán Jomeini de Teherán (IKA) ha establecido restricciones temporales en vuelos, con cierres programados y desvíos a aeropuertos como Mashhad (MHD) e Isfahán (IFN). Por su parte, el Aeropuerto Internacional de Beirut (BEY) y el Aeropuerto de Bagdad (BGW), a pesar de haber reanudado las operaciones aéreas podrían sufrir restricciones en función de cómo evolucione la situación.
Las autoridades consulares han advertido a los viajeros que se encuentren en Omán, Marruecos, Qatar, Siria, Libia, Túnez, Arabia Saudí, Emiratos Árabes Unidos, Egipto, Yemen, Argelia y Baréin, se mantengan informados en todo momento ya que la situación está cambiando rápidamente.
Se aconseja confirmar los horarios de los vuelos con las aerolíneas que operan en la zona, como EgyptAir, IranAir y Kuwait Airways, así como con Qantas, Lufthansa, KLM, Emirates Airlines, Austrian Airlines, United Airlines, Air India e Iberia, ya que podría haber modificado sus programaciones, y haber necesitado cambiar las rutas que sobrevuelan la zona.
– Aquellos viajeros que se encuentren en Israel, se aconseja utilizar aplicaciones oficiales como la del “Mando del Frente Interno/Home Front Command/Pikud Haoref” para recibir actualizaciones de la situación en tiempo real.
